Hello, my name is Tomoya Koseki.
I am thankful to IJGD for giving me a great chance. I could spend wonderful life in our camp of Spremberg.
It was my first experience to go to abroad, so I was anxious about so many things, but I was looking forward to doing activity and seeing new international friends. However, actuality was strict. I wanted to go back to Japan because I didn't think that I can cultivate my friendship with participant. In addition, I regreted my lack of English ability, but I didn't give up. We didn't need long time. When I noticed, there was not distance and wall between us. To tell the truth, I was thinking that we can not become true friend. However, it was wrong. I could make precious friends of German, Turk, Russian, British and Ukrainian in there. I was so happy. Everyday, we talked about own country's things, and plans of tomorrow's work and free time... . We repaired bungalow and made playground equipment for children in the beautiful nature, and we cooperated and we didn't have border. In addition, in our free time, we played beach volleyball, pingpong, swam in the lake, went cycling, saw many stars ,and so on. They were so great!
However, one day,Turk and Russian got into a squaqble. Other members, including me worried about them and we wanted reconcile the two. I realized then that we are not outsider, we are have bonds of friendship. And then time passed so quickly, and we reached final night. We had the big party, and mayor and the press came. I could spend great time in the party, but on the way I couldn’t stop crying because I thought maybe we can't meet again and we made so many mamories. I missed our camp and new great friends so much, and I didn't want to separate. In addition, I was thankful to our leader. When I worried about something, they always said "Are you OK?","Everything is OK?" They were so kind. In addition, the tears were stuff of achievement's feeling. I was so glad that I could make international friends and our work was finished. I felt so many things in our camp, and I could have valuable experience. The time that I spent in our camp is precious treasure for me.
Greetings
Tomoya
