Workcamp in Deutschland - Gohrde 2010

To defeat the fear

By Kristina Carter from Estonia

Our project: making bee houses.

Camp location: Germany, Gohrde

Soo..what to say about this camp. I can describe it in one word - fantastic,

but i think for you it is not enough :).

I liked there:

1. we had special working clothes, that we didn`t make our clothes dirty.

2. there were very nice and friendly people

3. our work wasnt hard

4. At kitchen we had everything for preparing food.

5. Cleaning wasnt hard, because we did it together

I didnt like:

1. Japanese members - their english level was very poor. So they couldnt work with us, when we had theoretical part.

In the beginning of our camp we needed to write down on papers, what we do

afraid about. I wrote, that i hope that mice wont bite me :))

But on the second week we did find a mouses nest with out mum (and we needed

to remove that, so this station where we lived owner, said tha we will give

those mice to cat) But i didnt want to do that, so i took them for mine

guardianship. They did live with me only 2 days :(, then they died.  Because they were

only 10-12 days old, and probably needed only their mum.

So, in the end when we did read our "afraids" which we did write in the

beginning. And i realised, that i am not afraid of mouse any more :)))
