Federal Voluntary Service for People Over 27

The Federal Voluntary Service and Ecological Federal Voluntary Service are open to people of all ages who want to do something for the public good outside of their work or education. The Federal Voluntary Service is a great way to get back on your feet if you’ve been out of work for a while. It’s a great way to get an idea of what it’s like working in the social field if you’re considering a career change, a way to get involved with something if you’re no longer working or want an “active retirement”.

If you are looking to do something meaningful, then you are in the right place! Various deployment sites in the social and ecological fields will benefit from your support, including child care centres, elderly care homes and nature conservation centres. You can join the Federal Voluntary Service at any time throughout the year.

Volunteering for a full year to actively support your fellow human beings will give you many valuable personal experiences. Many employers appreciate this kind of social engagement and the skills that you will gain from it.

There is no upper age limit for the Federal Voluntary Service. You can join throughout the year, depending on the availability of free places. An overview of the federal states where we offer the Federal Voluntary Service programme can be found under Contact.
