Special: Family camps
What is a family camp all about?
Family camps are normal work camps, where you live, work and spend your free time together. As far as possible the children are included in the camp activities such as cooking and working. Some camps also offer child care. The language spoken here is usually English. In most cases this does not pose a problem for the little ones. Children are capable of coming together and communicating creatively even without a common language.
Who can join a family camp?
You can join a family camp as a family, a single parent, a godfather or godmother with nephews and nieces, grandparents with grandchildren, or all three generations together – family camps are open to all volunteers with children. Some camps have age restrictions for children (for example from 5 years onwards or from 3-14 years). You will find these restrictions listed in the respective camp descriptions.
