Eligibility Requirements for Training Seminars
Prior information: Taking all rules into consideration, no one should be prevented to participate. In case you face challenges, contact us via email or telephone so that we can find solutions together.
Parents with children also have the possibility to participate in our seminars. Please contact the responsible office of your desired seminar for a specific agreement. Also in case you require a specific assistance, please contact us.
You must be between the ages of 18 and 30 years old in order to lead a workcamp. This is also the requirement for the training seminars. Participating in a training seminar at the age of 17 is only possible in exceptional cases. Please contact us.
Please register via the registration form, email or by telephone stating your name, address, date of birth, telephone number and email. We will send you a confirmation regarding your desired seminar via email. After you received the confirmation your registration is binding and we expect you to take part and plan with you.
The details of your address will be forwarded to participants from your seminars, so you can for example plan your journey to the seminar together. Your data will be saved with us for internal use. If you disagree, you can contact us.
The participation fee includes accommodation, food and other relevant materials.
There are discounts available for university and high school students, trainees and unemployed persons.
The standard fee applies to persons with employment.
Seven-day and eight-day seminar: 75 Euros reduced / 95 Euros standard fee
Five-day seminar: 50 Euros reduced / 70 Euros standard fee
Three-day seminar: 30 Euros reduced / 50 Euros standard fee
If you are leading a workcamp within the same year, the contribution fee will be refunded after the workcamp.
By registering together with a friend, the “bring a friend" discount can be used.
50 percent of the tickets will be refunded to participants of the training seminar who travelled via public transport, if they are booking low priced train tickets. Participants are therefore asked to purchase low priced tickets (such as discounted train tickets, regional tickets, university semester tickets, buses, etc). With no-discount train tickets the subsidy may be less. Car sharing costs will likewise be 50 percent subsidized. If participants travel to training seminars in Lower Saxony for a low price (less than 30 Euros), more than 50 percent could be refunded.
Flights are only permitted for participants from abroad.
Travel costs for a journey by car can only be subsidized, if announced in advance.
The maximum refund is 140 Euros. Some exceptions are possible for international participants, which should be discussed in advance.
Withdrawal/Termination Costs/Cancellation of Seminars
In case you withdraw up to four weeks before the beginning of the seminar, we will charge 50 percent of your contribution fee as a termination fee. If you inform us less than four weeks in advance, the full registration fee will still be due.
Should the seminar be cancelled because of sickness or lack of participants, you will receive a complete refund of your participation fee.
Terms of Payment
You must transfer your participation fee not later than four weeks before the seminar. If you register less than four weeks before the seminar, you must transfer the participation fee within two days after you receive the registration confirmation.
(For foreign participants who are outside the Single Euro Payments Area (SEPA)/European Economic Area (EEA), there is a possibility to pay directly at the location of the seminar).
If you do not pay within these deadlines, ijgd will cancel the places and give them to persons on the waiting list. Therefore, please transfer your money quickly and inform us about the transfer, so that you have a secure place.
