Liebe Workcamp-Interessierte,

Seit vielen Jahren empfangen wir junge Menschen aus der Ukraine in unseren Workcamps und entsenden in tolle Projekte vor Ort. Uns verbindet ein freundschaftliches Verhältnis mit unseren beiden ukrainischen Partnerorganisationen. Seit 1992 bzw. 93 sind wir mit „Alternative-V“ und „Union Forum“ im Netzwerk: Alliance of European Voluntary Service Organisations organisiert und sehen uns mindestens ein – bis zweimal im Jahr auf internationalen Treffen.Die Situation in der Ukraine ist für viele Menschen immer noch sehr schwierig. Seit dem Angriff Russlands auf die Ukraine am 24.02.2022 hat der Konflikt zu zahlreichen Todesopfern (auf beiden Seiten) geführt und die soziale und wirtschaftliche Lage vieler Menschen verschlechtert. Es gibt große Herausforderungen im Bereich der Menschenrechte, der wirtschaftlichen Entwicklung und der Stabilität in der Region.Die Situation hat auch Auswirkungen auf die Arbeit unserer beiden Partnerorganisationen, die aufgrund der politischen und wirtschaftlichen Situation in der Ukraine mit großen finanziellen Herausforderungen zu kämpfen haben. Insbesondere der anhaltende Konflikt im Osten des Landes hat die Arbeit der Organisationen erschwert. Dennoch tragen die Mitarbeiterinnen und Mitarbeiter unermüdlich dazu bei, internationale Workcamps zu organisieren oder zu bewerben, um somit eine Plattform für den Austausch von jungen Menschen aus der Ukraine und anderen Ländern zu schaffen. Unsere Partner sind damit ein wichtiger Baustein für eine bessere Zukunft in der Ukraine.Aktuell sind sie jedoch auf Spenden und Unterstützung angewiesen, um ihre Arbeit (in Zukunft) fortsetzen zu können. Vor allem nach dem Krieg werden Workcamps vor Ort einen wichtigen Beitrag zum Wiederaufbau des Landes leisten.

Mit eurer Spende könnt ihr dazu beitragen, dass unsere Partner vor Ort ihre wichtige Arbeit weiter machen können und junge Menschen aus der Ukraine, sowie anderen Ländern voneinander lernen und somit einen wichtigen Beitrag zur Förderung von Verständnis und Zusammenarbeit zwischen verschiedenen Kulturen leisten können. Egal ob in internationalen Workcamps im Ausland oder in der Ukraine.

Solidarity with Ukraine. Support for our local partners

Dear workcamp interested people,

For many years we have been welcoming young people from Ukraine in our workcamps and sending them to great local projects. We have a friendly relationship with our two Ukrainian partner organisations. Since 1992 and 93, we have been organised with "Alternative-V" and "Union Forum" in the network: Alliance of European Voluntary Service Organisations and see each other at least once or twice a year at international meetings. The situation in Ukraine is still very difficult for many people. Since Russia's attack on Ukraine on 24.02.2022, the conflict has led to many deaths (on both sides) and has worsened the social and economic situation of many people. There are major challenges in the area of human rights, economic development and stability in the region. The situation also has an impact on the work of our two partner organisations, which are facing major financial challenges due to the political and economic situation in Ukraine. In particular, the ongoing conflict in the east of the country has made the organisations' work more difficult. Nevertheless, the staff members tirelessly contribute to organising or promoting international work camps, thus creating a platform for the exchange of young people from Ukraine and other countries. Our partners are therefore an important building block for a better future in Ukraine. At the moment, however, they are dependent on donations and support in order to be able to continue their work (in the future). Especially after the war, local work camps will make an important contribution to the reconstruction of the country.

With your donation, you can help our local partners to continue their important work and young people from Ukraine and other countries to learn from each other and thus make an important contribution to the promotion of understanding and cooperation between different cultures.
